Hey, readers, sorry for all the fluff on my blog lately. I'm going to deliver some substantial goods soon, but right now I'm busy with grading response papers and reading about qualitative and quantitative methods for studies of communication and writing. I've been using my blog as an escape . . . guess it beats TV, huh? Speaking of media and culture in general, I bought some CDs recently: Lucinda Williams's Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, Kasey Chambers's Barricades and Brickwalls, and a couple for pure nostalgia: The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies and Fire in the Hole! by Picasso Trigger. Laurie, if you read this, you're welcome to borrow the CD; it reminds me a little bit of Mary Prankster, so you might like it. I've been listening to the new ones, of course, but today (for the first time in quite a while) I listened to Like Water for Chocolate by Common. Great album.

Oh, as an aside, can you believe how many forms of government there are? [grin]
